At True Potential we ‘Do More’ for charity and community throughout the year, and we’ve been long term supporters of the Sunshine Fund’s mission to help enhance the lives of local children with disabilities in the North East of England.
Daniel Harrison is True Potential’s Chief Executive, and a Harrison Foundation Trustee. Here he shares his story of a special day with the Sunshine Fund…
With less than one month to go until the big day itself, there’s plenty of festive cheer in the chilly North East air.
And nowhere more so than at the Sunshine Fund’s Santa’s Grotto in Newcastle, which I was delighted to visit today.
The Sunshine Fund is a long-standing partner of the Harrison Foundation and the work they do to help provide equipment to young people with additional needs is a mission that we are proud to support.
Today was an opportunity for lots of children from the local areas who have received the support offered by the Sunshine Fund, to meet Santa and his elves, sing some carols and get into the festive spirit with a smile on their faces.
It was fantastic to catch up with the team and meet the families and the children who directly benefit from the outstanding work that the Sunshine Fund does.
Of course, the Harrison Foundation exists to provide many pounds to charities, but what we’re really all about is people and helping make a practical and positive difference to as many lives as possible.
That’s why today it was such a great pleasure to get into the festive spirit with Santa, his elves and many of the beneficiaries of the Sunshine fund and spread a little early festive cheer.
